Keep the Outing in Scouting

This calendar has many items of interest to Scouting. Included are not only Chicago Area Council Activity dates, but dates about many events in the Chicago-land area that Scout groups may have an interest in. If you have any additions to this calendar please email them to us. This calendar is a living document and gets updated quite regularly so check back before each Troop, Pack or Crew planning meeting. The themes for each Scouting level for each month are listed. These themes correspond to information in the Boy's Life and Scouting Magazines for that month. If you are listed as a Cub or Boy Scout leader you should get program helps for these subjects in the Scouting Magazine the month before. Information may also be offered at your District Roundtable to support the theme. If the theme is in blue, click on it for a great booklet on program ideas to do that month. These booklets are usually posted 1 month early so you have a chance to plan your den meetings. Some entries have a link labeled flyer you will need to have Adobe Acrobat reader in order to view and print these flyers. Get Adobe here free.    Adobe Page Maker or Photo Shop will not work, you need Adobe Acrobat. 

 Every effort is made to make sure this calendar is accurate, but please double check information before bringing your group to an event.  And if you do find an error please let us know ASAP so it can be fixed.
